Jane Choi, CLF, LUTCF

Jane Choi was born in South Korea and came to the US as a young teenager.  She grew up in Orange County, CA and graduated from UC Irvine with her BA degree.  She also obtained her MA in Education.  In her early career, she taught school, worked in banking, and worked as a human resource manager.  Before Jane joined NYL, she was the owner of a successful fine jewelry store in Louisville, Kentucky for 11 years.  

Jane joined NYL in September of 2001 and was an agent for 2 1/2 years.  She was a Million Dollar Round Table member for 3 consecutive years and was a President’s Council agent before she was promoted to a Partner in February of 2004. She was consistently among the top 10 partners in the company and won the Gathering of Eagles (Top Recruiters Club) for several consecutive years before she was promoted to Managing Partner of the Central Coast General Office in May 2008.   As the Managing Partner, Jane grew the office and received various national trophies. 

In 2010, she became first female member of New York Life's Managing Partner's Advisory Council. She served as MPAC member from 2010-2011.

Jane was very excited to take on an Executive Partner role in the Orange Coast General office.  This allowed her to be closer to her family, especially to her Dad who is rapidly aging and needs her attention.   

She has been married to Billy for over 30 years and has a delightful daughter, Kristi, and a proud son Tim, who is married to his beautiful wife, Lydia. Jane is counting her family as the biggest blessing and inspiration to her life.

Joan brings 27 years of experience to New York Life after retiring from Met Life. Joan started her career in 1988 as a Financial Services Representive with MetLife achieving Leaders Conference in her first year and was also named Rookie of the Year. Within two years, she attained the position of Associate Branch Manager helping the branch to become number one branch ouf 72 offices in the Western Territory.  One year later, she took on the responsibility of Regional Field Training Specialist.  Two years later, Joan was promoted to Product Wholesaler for the Western Territory.  She also held the title of: Functional Manager, Regional Field Training Specialist, Territory Product Wholesaler and Managing Director. She retired from MetLife as a Managing Sales Director of Southern California.

 

 

 

Gigi Mai-Khanh Nguyen

A career with New York Life suited Gigi Nguyen's altruistic sensibility. She was looking for an opportunity to impact people's lives when she signed on to be an agent. The flexibility of the career, along with its income potential, pension, comprehensive training and advancement opportunities, were also important attributes that attracted Gigi to the New York Life. 

In her first year as an agent,she qualified for the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table, the hallmark of achievement in the financial services industry based on sales performance. She also qualified for President's Council as a top producer at New York Life. And, in just under three years, Gigi was promoted into management as an Associate Partner in 2015.  Gigi hopes to help new agents accomplish their goals the same way she achieved her own — with the backing of New York Life's renowned training and support of its sales force.

Gigi is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA with BA in commercial art. She worked in Nutrition industry as a Creative Director for 14 years and is a devoted environmentalist.  Gigi believes strongly in sustainability— be it ecological or financial. She also has two certifications in environmental sustainability and has worked the the non profit sector doing environmental advocacy work.

 

 

 

Alejandro Inigo

Alejandro Inigo was a New York Life agent since 2014. His background is in business administration. He ran his own business for over 15 years. He is multicultural and bilingual in English and Spanish.

He was a Summit qualifier in 2015 and was a consistent Council agent since 2016. In 2017, he won the Centurion Award for case rate. 

In 2018, Alejandro joined the AP Program to become an Associate Partner.

As a former business owner, he understands the needs struggles and rewards of the work place. When he was an Active Agent he was very passionate around protecting the most important assets that his clients can have, their family, and their retirement goals. His job was to make sure that all his clients' financial goals are met. His multicultural background gave him the opportunity to explain every part of his overall strategies to his clients.

Alejandro graduated to a fulltime partner in 2018. As a Partner he is actively looking for individuals that have Integrity, Enthusiasm and the Self Discipline to help them achieve the New York Life Standard of Success.

Alejandro resides in Irvine with his family and enjoys spending time with them.

 

 

 

Kenneth Lee

Kenneth grew up in the small college town of Amherst, Massachusetts.  He attended Tufts University just outside of Boston, MA.  At Tufts, he participated in Internships with Merrill Lynch and Bank of Boston – sparking his interest in Finance.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics / Business.

Kenneth started his career with 15-years in the Banking industry, holding positions as a Branch Manager, a Private Clients Officer and a Commercial Real Estate Lender – in the New York City metro area.  Then, he embarked on an 18-year entrepreneurial path – creating and developing businesses in Child Care Services, Retail, Movie Theaters and Restaurants – both in the U.S. and in Asia.  That same focus on flexibility and growth in his career, plus his creative, flexible mindset - led Kenneth to New York Life in 2018

He was accepted into the Accelerated Partner program and joined New York Life at the end of December 2018.  Kenneth hit the ground running with New York Life and never looked back.  In just 8 months as an Agent, he qualified for the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table* - the pinnacle of achievement in the Financial Services Industry. In addition, during this time, Kenneth earned his FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 licenses.  He accomplished the ultimate achievement, when he qualified for President's Council ** as a top producer at New York Life, in this same 8-month period, as an Agent.

Kenneth was promoted into Management in August of 2019, and is now a Partner in the Orange Coast General Office.  He utilizes his years of professional experience as a Senior Manager and combines this with the extensive Training and Resources of New York Life. Kenneth continues to have a very positive effect on the company, as he brings new Agents into New York Life – mentoring and coaching them towards achieving their goals. His main focus is to develop these individuals into successful Agents or Managers, during a life-long career with New York Life.

Kenneth resides with his wife in Huntington Beach, CA where enjoys the beach, fishing, tennis and gourmet cooking/dining.

 

 

 

Lovely May Ravelo, MBA

Lovely started her career with New York Life in July 2012. Prior to joining the company, she spent just over 14 years with a major bank in various roles.  She graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and then earned her Master’s in Business Administration at Pepperdine University.  After spending three and half years as an agent, Lovely was promoted to be a Development Manager at the Orange Coast office in February 2016.  She currently holds her Series 6, 63, and 26 licenses.

She was born in the Philippines but came to the US at the age of 5 growing up in the Orange County area where she still resides.  In her spare time, Lovely enjoys travelling, paddle boarding, and loves spending quality time with her family and friends.

Chris Buccola joined the Pacific Zone Agency Standards team as the Sr. Agency Standards Consultant of the Orange Coast General Office in July 2012.  After joining the financial services industry in 1993, he worked at several large insurance companies in various compliance related roles.  Chris joined New York Life in May of 2005 as a Director in the Corporate Compliance Field Review Unit and was promoted to AVP in March of 2011.  Chris is a graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and holds his Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 65 as well as his State of New York Life, Accident & Health insurance license.

Chris, his wife Ann, and their two daughters Shannon and Kaitlyn, reside in South Orange County.  Chris enjoys spending time with family, the beach (of course), Lake Mission Viejo and helping out with his daughters’ softball teams.

Alix began his New York Life career in 2003 as a Case Analyst in the Manhattan General Office,and was promoted to Office Coordinator in 2010. In July 2015 Alix transitioned into Associate Service Leader role in the South Jersey General Office. During his time in the Associate Program Alix provided management coverage in several General Offices, including stints in the Albany and Mississippi General Offices.

Alix relocated to Buffalo in May 2016 becoming the Service leader there. Alix graduated from Baruch College in New York City with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He is a huge New York Jets and Knicks fan. Alix and his family are very excited about the opportunities that await them in the OCGO.
